About This Journal
And the Person Behind It
My name is Alade Julius. I’m a writer based in Nigeria, as well as a professional proofreader, editor, and book formatter, and this is my journal. I work with fiction writers, non-fiction authors, and children’s book creators at every stage of the publishing journey, from refining a rough draft to formatting a manuscript for Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing publication.
Over the years, I’ve built a strong reputation on Fiverr, where I’ve served about 2,000 clients from around the world with consistently high ratings and glowing reviews.
I started this space because I needed somewhere to put my thoughts, the kind that don’t quite fit in a conversation but feel too important to lose. Over time, it became something I look forward to: a place where I can be slow and deliberate, where I can sit with an idea long enough to actually understand it.
I write about books and the way they change you. About faith and all the questions it opens up. About culture — Nigerian, African, global — and how we make sense of it. About growing, failing, and trying again. About life in general, in all its ordinary and extraordinary forms.
There’s no niche here. No content strategy. Just a person writing honestly, and hoping it finds whoever needs to read it.
If something I write stays with you, I’d love to hear about it.
